Entering the highest level of the Booking.com Preferred Connectivity Partner Program

Almere, January 19th, 2020

Following ‘exceeded expectations’ on the commercial performance, technical innovation and high engagement with the team, Booking.com recognises NextPax as Premier Connectivity Partner in 2020. This endorses NextPax as being among the top connectivity partners providing a state of the art Booking.com connection to their clients, whether for holiday homes, apartments, villas, hotels or any other property class type.

NextPax continuously contributed as sparring partner in a wide variety of sessions with various teams of the Booking.com Connectivity Department – co-developing on the Photo API, Key-Collection API and providing viewpoints and objectives on topics like LOS Pricing, Content Score Requirements and other new API products. Highlight of co-developing was the Booking.com Hackathon in November, where NextPax was one of the finalists. The development teams worked in a two-day final on a new tool ‘Mission Control’, where property managers can aggregate and respond to all of Booking.com’s Reviews for all properties at scale. In addition, the NextPax team was able to lay down a prototype of the Booking.com’s promotions API during the event.

On the commercial side, NextPax continues to onboard more property managers to Booking.com’s platform increasing their channel performance. Steve Milo’s VTrips announced that, thanks to the collaboration between his company, NextPax and Booking.com, he was able to achieve a hypergrowth of 600% in consumer revenue. “Not only the technology has to be state of the art to achieve these results,’ explains Erik Engel, CEO of NextPax. ‘Also the team needs to be setup for success and the entire mindset of what innovation looks like needs to be correct. Hence, in collaboration with Booking.com we provided our account management team with a series of quality training sessions on the benefits of working with Booking.com. It’s really about the cohesion of right technology with the right people that business drives value.”

While NextPax already ensures to sync rates and availability, and reservation cancellations and modifications for years and is using Booking.com’s full content API (being able to automatically distribute and manage properties), the company continues to strive for the highest level of connectivity with Booking.com. For 2020, NextPax is continuing to grow by connecting more property managers to Booking.com and rolling out key functionalities of the connection towards more property managers. More functionalities around Booking.com’s Virtual Credit Card Program, a further roll-out of the Promotions API and an integration of the Opportunities API are to be expected.
