NextPax is excited to announce the next evolution of our payment infrastructure: the migration of our Stripe payment integration to Stripe Connect. This upgrade marks an important step forward in delivering a more secure, scalable, and seamless payment experience for accommodation providers, property managers, and distribution partners worldwide.

A More Modern Payment Infrastructure

As the hospitality and vacation rental industry continues to evolve, reliable and automated payment processing becomes increasingly important. With Stripe Connect, NextPax customers benefit from a modern payment architecture designed for scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

The upgraded integration provides:

  • Higher payment success rates. Stripe's 97% authorization rate means fewer failed guest payments, less manual chasing, and fewer no-shows due to declined cards
  • Faster, more reliable payouts. Property managers get their money faster and more predictably. Instant Payouts is available for those who want same-day access to funds
  • No more sharing API keys, The Connect setup is more secure. Property managers authorize with a few clicks, no sensitive credentials exchanged
  • 40+ payment methods, one integration, As guest expectations evolve (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, iDEAL, SEPA), property managers automatically get access through NextPax without any work on their side
  • Better fraud protection, Stripe Radar monitors every transaction. Lower dispute rates = fewer chargebacks eating into their margins

This upgrade in general leads to:

  • Enhanced security and compliance standards
  • Improved payment reliability and monitoring
  • Better scalability for future payment features
  • Faster onboarding and authorization processes
  • Improved automation for payment operations

Stripe Connect also enables NextPax to continue investing in financial technology innovation and payment automation across its growing platform ecosystem.

“Payments are becoming a core component of the hospitality technology stack. With the move to Stripe Connect, we are creating a more scalable and future-proof payment infrastructure for our customers while simplifying operations and improving reliability across the board,” said Lennart Kok, VP of Distribution & Marketing at NextPax.

What This Means for Existing Stripe Legacy Setup Users

Customers currently using the legacy Stripe integration in NextPax Core will need to re-authorize their Stripe account before May 30th, 2026.

The re-authorization process is designed to be quick and straightforward, ensuring uninterrupted payment processing moving forward. Your existing Stripe dashboard, transaction history, and reporting remain unchanged, the re-authorisation simply upgrades how NextPax connects to your account.

After this date:

  • Legacy Stripe connections will no longer be supported
  • Stripe Connect will become the standard integration within NextPax
