Premier Host is a free, invite-only recognition program by Vrbo. There’s no application process, once eligibility criteria are met, listings are automatically awarded the status.

👉 Important: As of January 1, 2026, Premier Host status is awarded at listing (property) level, not at account level. This means:

  • Each individual property must qualify on its own
  • Strong-performing listings can earn the badge, even if others in your portfolio do not
  • Underperforming listings will not benefit from the status of your top properties

In other words: performance is measured per property, not per portfolio.

Premier Host Eligibility Criteria (Per Listing)

To qualify, each individual listing must meet the following requirements:

  • Booking acceptance rate: 99% or higher
  • Owner-initiated cancellations: 0%
  • Minimum reviews: At least 5 Vrbo reviews
  • Average rating: 4.6 or higher
  • Booking volume: At least 5 bookings or 60 booked nights

Because these criteria apply at listing level, consistency across your entire portfolio becomes critical if you want multiple properties to benefit.

Meeting these requirements also moves that specific listing into a higher Performance Milestone tier within Vrbo’s marketplace.

Loved By Guests: The Next Level of Recognition

In addition to Premier Host, Vrbo offers a more exclusive badge: Loved By Guests.

If a listing qualifies for both, this badge will override the Premier Host badge in search results.

Again, this is evaluated per property, not across your full portfolio.

Eligibility requires:

  • At least 10 reviews
  • Ranking in the top 10% of properties in the local market
  • Evaluation based on review score first, then review count

This badge is dynamic and adjusts continuously based on your listing’s performance relative to competitors.

  • The Premier Host scorecard tracks eligibility per listing

Quarterly Assessments: Maintaining Standards 

Premier Host status is reviewed every quarter:

  • February 1
  • May 1
  • August 1
  • November 1

Each listing is evaluated based on the previous 12 months of performance. If a specific property no longer meets the criteria, it will lose Premier Host status, even if other listings in your portfolio still qualify. The upside? Listings are automatically reinstated as soon as they meet the requirements again.
