Almere, Netherlands – September 2026 — NextPax today launched NextPax Matchmaking, a distribution intelligence layer that shows professional accommodation providers which channels in the NextPax network are relevant for their properties, their markets and their growth plans, explaining exactly why. Matchmaking is available within NextPax Core, the NextPax platform dashboard.
Distribution has quietly become one of the hardest commercial decisions in accommodation. Connecting to another channel is no longer the obstacle; choosing well is. Listing everywhere spreads a team thin, dilutes content quality and rarely produces the growth it promises, while the channels that would genuinely suit a portfolio, a regional specialist, a segment platform, a channel strong in a market the accommodation partner wants to enter, are the hardest ones to discover.
Matchmaking combines AI with a portfolio profile, each channel's requirements and NextPax network intelligence built up over two decades of distribution. Every recommendation carries a Match Score and the reasoning behind it, covering the channel's target markets and traveller audience, the property types and destinations it supports, its commercial and onboarding requirements, existing NextPax connectivity status, and the specific portfolio attributes that make it a fit. The intent is a recommendation an accommodation partner can interrogate rather than a ranking they have to trust. "More channels is not the goal. The right channels are."
Matchmaking is not a directory with a search box. NextPax deliberately built both sides of its network on a single independent platform: the supply side understands property portfolios, the demand side understands what channels are looking for. That vantage point is what makes a match score possible, a marketplace listing channels alphabetically cannot know whether a channel actually wants an accommodation partner's inventory, or whether the properties will convert on it.
Matchmaking runs the full path rather than stopping at a suggestion: discover ranked recommendations, review the score and its reasoning, connect with the channel through structured communication inside NextPax, onboard, self-service for supported channels, and go live. What starts as a recommendation ends as distributed inventory, without leaving the platform.
Inventory is not published into an open marketplace, and no channel receives a portfolio because it asked. Accommodation Partners decide which channels to approach, and conversations stay structured through NextPax.
As accommodation partners now are able to make matches, engage and go live with the distribution partners that they have selected, this opens up a new era of how Accommodation Partners can interact with Distribution Partners
"Distribution should help an accommodation provider grow, not give them another list to work through," said Erik Engel, Founder and CEO of NextPax. "We built Matchmaking because the right channels for a portfolio besides the most obvious ones are hard to find, and every accommodation partner deserves a clear view of where their properties genuinely belong. That is what twenty years of building this network was for."
NextPax Matchmaking is available now in NextPax Core. Accommodation providers can explore their matches in the dashboard or book a demo at NextPax MatchMaking.
