Awaze becomes the first international partner for Vrbo Payments through NextPax, bringing a simpler checkout experience and access to OneKeyCash rewards for eligible Vrbo bookings across its holiday rental brands. NextPax to become the first channel manager to support Vrbo Payments in international markets.

Amsterdam, 09th of October 2026 — NextPax, the B2B distribution platform for the global hospitality market, today announced the international rollout of Vrbo Payments, with Awaze, one of Europe’s leading managed holiday rentals businesses, as its first partner live on Vrbo Payments outside the US. The programme enables Vrbo to manage payments on behalf of property managers, with NextPax becoming the first channel manager to support the service beyond USD, adding EUR, GBP, CAD and AUD. NOVOSAL became the first Awaze brand to go live in September 2026, with cottages.com and Hoseasons set to follow in the coming weeks

With Vrbo® Payments, Vrbo acts as a payments back office for property managers. It collects payment from the traveller, manages fraud and chargebacks, handles taxes where Vrbo is liable, and initiates payouts after check-in. There are no additional fees for refunds or cancellations, and card data never enters the property manager's systems. Until now the programme was only available for bookings in USD, which kept many property managers outside the US from joining.

For travellers, Vrbo Payments means one secure checkout and one credit card charge on Vrbo, with a choice of payment options, including financing through Buy Now, Pay Later providers. Travelers may also redeem OneKeyCash™ for the booking as part of Expedia Group’s travel rewards program, One Key.

Additionally, each booking comes with the assurance of VrboCare™, which includes rebooking support if hosts cancel or the check-in fails, protection against fraud and 24/7 support. Travellers will continue to earn OneKeyCash with Vrbo bookings across Expedia Group’s platform, and travelers can also redeem it for the first time with NextPax. That opens Awaze's homes to a large loyalty audience via Expedia Group’s One Key® loyalty program. In Vrbo's pilot, properties also saw meaningful reductions in guest cancellations.

NextPax built the Vrbo Payments integration: reservation fulfilment, cancellations and refunds, payouts, stay tax and real-time payment notifications. Novasol was the pilot and took its first live traveller bookings in September 2026.

"Being suggested as the first international partner for Vrbo Payments reflects the strength of out relationship with Expedia Group and NextPax, and the scale of our business" said Mike Wheeler, Commercial Trading Director UK & Europe at Awaze. "This is an important step in making the booking experience simpler for our guests, while helping us streamline payments and strengthen our distribution capabilities across our European holiday rental brands."

"Vrbo Payments works for everyone in the booking: Vrbo runs payments, property managers get their time back, and travellers can finally spend their OneKeyCash on these homes," said Lennart Kok, VP of Distribution and Marketing at NextPax. "We built the full integration once and took it beyond USD, so partners in many more markets can switch it on without extra development. Going live with Awaze across three of Europe's best-known holiday brands shows it works at scale."

NextPax continues to expand the number of property managers and PMS vendors it brings on to Vrbo Payments with properties in USD, EUR, GBP, CAD and AUD markets.
